Too bad none of you guys are close to KC. I am modernizing nine elevators at Research Hospital, 10 story building and I am removing all kinds of 2by2 angle iron and various flat irons and bolts galore that were used for the old systems landing system. I used to take this stuff home but am way overstocked and just don't want anymore. Also had 4 miles of good elevator cable I just replaced but had to throw the old stuff away. I have 500 pounds of flat plate 11/4 inch thick and 14" by 14" square, just right for weight that will be pitched if I can't give it away. The new systems are computerized and don't relay on that old iron anymore.
