Agree with the others, FIX IT! Our 544 has a loose fitting pipe and we start it after it rains to clear the water out -makes nice soot spots all over the hood. Gotta get that fixed next summer.

It is possible to weld the pipe in, but be sure not to get any slag down the exhaust, that can also ruin an engine. Just heat manifold and pipe with a torch and use nickel rod ($$$$$) and let it cool slowly. Have done this several times with an old Lincoln arc welder.
