drained the oil before winter...because there was gray colored goo coming out of the breather pipe..it over filled a 5 gal bucket!!! how could that much water get into an engine ?(i know you're wondering too) the pipe that threads into the manifold sits loose, as both pieces are stripped out...would that offer that much access for water into the motor? (we have no sheds) we'll probably try a fresh piece of threaded pipe, and a neighbor's welder one of these days. i still think that is an awful large amount of water to seep past the pistons into the crank case. does not seem to use any from the radiator, so that's not the source, thank god :) is it possible that it could also be hytran? that reservoir is frequently low. however, the goo we drained out of the crankcase was the brown/tan water color... someone got an idea? thanks please see my other post about this tractor. karl floor_it@yahoo.com kffischer@csbsju.edu
