Steve, i think you can buy a replacement wiring harness for not a whole lot of money from central tractor or such.changing to an alternator is easy and not much wiring has to be changed.If you want to know more let me know and i will try to find the wiring diagram. if you look in the archives i think there is a wiring diagram there.
