Tex Red - The "G" terminal is an auxiliary ground connection. Not a bad idea to run a wire from it to the regulator base to insure a good ground path between these two components.

The other wiring is straight forward:
Regulator GEN terminal to generator "A"
Regulator FLD terminal to generator "F"
Regulator BAT terminal to ammeter.

Note - Make sure the regulator is the right one for your generator (Autolite 12 volt and 35 amp), because that generator doesn't sound like the right one for a W-9. Using an incorrect regulator risks burning out the generator.
