In 1975 I purchased a cab from IH dealer. This particular cab was from a 66 series. Some of the early 66 series tractors had a white cab without rops protection These cabs were quite light compared to the rops cab we are familiar with on 66 series tractors. The doors were quite narrow at bottom. I fabricated mounting hardware at axel housings on the rear of cab and put a angle iron frame from clutch housing which extended at the proper angle to meet front mounting points on cab This I mounted on a 656 and I ran it for years. I never did close it in at back around 3 pt. hitch rockshaft. The cab was brand new and I picked it up for $500. It made a sharp looking unit, and its still quite cool when the sun goes down at planting time. I actually liked this 656 better to operate than I did my 1066 with rops cab. The visability from the cab was better. I supose most of those cabs are not in great shape by now.
