Thanks Dave and Bob! I got it unstuck. However, even after aligning the shift rails to neutral, the tractor still seemed to be stuck in gear(s) and would stall when the clutch was let out. I moved the shift rails into 5th gear position, used a bungee to keep the clutch disengaged, and then pulled the tractor a short distance (with the coil wire off); that apparently unjammed the gears. And yes, the pawl on the shifter is definitely worn, especially on the front edge. Thanks again!! Now I have another question. I've noticed that when the clutch is disengaged, whether in gear or out, there is a knocking noise apparently coming from somewhere in the clutch assembly. The noise stops when the clutch is engaged. What's the problem here?
