Super MTA Torque

Hi! I just got a MTA the torque does not work. The man told me it was redone sometime but only lasted 2 weeks. It slows the tractor down on level ground but slips going up grade. Everybody tells me I have to tear it apart to find the problem. Question: Is the oil in the rearend the same in the torque compartment and Do I have to drain it before I take it apart? How much does it hold? What kind of oil do I replace it with, 90 weight gear oil or hydraulic/transmision oil? Thanks for any help! Don
