I have rebuilt my TA units with the heavy duty spraque type over run clutch. I have always used 90 wt even though the original TA required hy tran. If everything sounds good, before I tore into it I would make sure your linkage is adjusted correctly. The cause of a slipping TA can be caused by two things. Either the TA clutch is slipping or the overrun clutch is not holding. The overrun clutch is the lockup mechnisium the keeps the TA unit from rotating backwards when the lever is pulled back for the low side of the TA. If it was rebuilt 2 years ago with the ramp and roller overrun clutch then it was either a poor job of rebuilding or has had a lot of hard use. The oil in the trans, rearend and TA is the same and flows freely through out the whole housing. You will have to drain all the oil if you split your tractor to remove the TA unit. Oil capacity for that housing is 15 gallons

On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
