I figured as much. The deck is off already and the bull gear is out since the pto and tube are removed. I will pull that axle housing tomorrow. As for the tranny's upper gearset it has to come out either by the front or back. If it comes out to the rear via the rear bearing enough to slide it back a tad I could get the gear off and replaced. The lower one is ok so its no issue. I wish I had the parts book so I could see the way its put together. thanx
