A trip to the auto store for new plugs and all the distributor accessories was what apparantly was needed. The frame from the loader made getting into the distributor more of a challenge, lucky for me there was time over the holidays.
I did note the when putting the coil wire into the new rotor cap that the wires under the clip were minimal, and that they were not laying the length of the whole clip, so I got as much in contact with the end clip as possible and stuck it into the coil hole.
It fired right up, and was immediately more responsive. Alot to be said for regular maintainence, and dry gas.
