Before the hearing, the small claim court allowed/encouraged the two parties to resolve the situation by themselves. In my case, I sat down with the seller at the courthouse and came up with a new delivery date. This occurred immediately prior to the scheduled hearing. The hearing was then canceled thinking the problem was resolved.

In the end, the seller failed to deliver.
