If you live in a colder climate DO NOT use the
heavier oil. Back in the early seventies I was
using a product from Esso called Hydraul 50, which
when cross-referenced was the same as Hi-tran, I
used this product with no problem. My Esso dealer
not reading Esso brosures thouroughly enough,
recomended I switch to the newer Hydraul 56, he
thought was a replacment. Within a year I replaced
three hydraulic pumps, 300, 560 and 656. When you
look at the specs. on these oils the Hydraul 56
was a heavier oil. It will work finest in 66 and
86 series tractors. Just my experience.
