Moving Snow

Hello all, Our first big snow storm for the year is forecast for tonight. I plan to use my "C" with a 7ft. rear grader blade to clear the driveway. Has anybody had a problem with the blade tearing up blacktop? I notice that plow skids are offered by several companies. I also have a snowblower that I could use but it wouldn't be as much fun.
