This may not be your trouble. On my old C one night smoke started comeing from the box where the light switch is. I'm guessing it is much like your cub. The lights got bright and wouldn't go back dim.On my light switch there is a small wire that goes between two terminals thats only reason I can see is to add resistance for the light's to burn dim. My wire was old and brittle and just smoked it's self. Replaced the wire and got my dim's back.Hope someone else can correct me if my thinking is incorrect.
