That was my post , i would clean the battery posts and the cables and make sure that they are tite and like i said yesterday install a new harness it could have shorted out somewhere and caused the reg to over charge ,or caused the gen to full field itsefl and over charge , and since i am down here it is hard to give you and exact dignostic . and it just might pervent a wireing fire. Also replace the reg it will be cheeper in the long run if it caught fire.
