It all depends on if your going to use the tractor or restore it. The MD and the 450 engine wise are almost identical,the 450 has a bigger piston and sleeve, if I was going to use the tractor i would probably go with the 450 it has more options either way parts are going to be expensive. As far as water in the oil Those tractors were known for blowing the head gaskets and rear main seals wen't pretty quick too.
