Sounds like a crack in the water jacket in the block somewhere. Forget the MD if you're not afraid of some engine work. Get the 450. Lots of power, live hydraulics, live pto. Just my opinion, but the engine's condition could take a lot of work. Widefront axle, powersteering, and factory 2pt hitch would be the deciding factors for me. Good luck.
