Aftermarket M&W was a selectable gearing added to the transmission of H's, M's and probably many other tractors. The gearing markedly increased R,1,2,3,4. I believe the new speeds were between old 4th and 5th. Normal 5th ("Roadgear" my Dad always called it) was not effected. Which is a good thing, don't believe I would want to be on an H in 5th overdrive! Does a Heisler work the same way? Olaf does your cable effect R,1,2,3,& 4 or just 5th? If it only affects 5th maybe someone has added gearing to decrease the 1:1 ratio of normal 5th. If so, I'll bet it is a very uncommon (dangerous?)alteration. Tell us more.
