Gregory,sounds like a few items may be missing from your lift.There should be a rod that runs from beside the steering column to the side of the tractor.There should also be a piece that that is connected to which goes through the side of the tractor into the pump.Youll need these to make you lift work.As for the clutch,all you may have to do is adjust the linkage.But you dont have to break it down to change it.Be ready for a little cussing though.
