Torch Out a Cracked Sleeve?

I'm trying to remove a sleeve from a F-30 and it is stubborn! My puller is bending its 1/2" steel bar. The sleeve has a long verical crack so it is trash. Has anybody cut a sleeve out with a torch? It seems to be my only option.
