forgot to mention: Is your muffler stack in good condition and on the exhaust pipe when you are observing the problem? It should always be there if you suspect problems, because it was designed as one system. The engine "breaths" all the way from the air cleaner to the end of the raincap. The exhaust pipe and muffler stack are just extensions of the exhaust ports.
