Are you familiar with a product called "dip grip"?
It is a rubber compound that you dip tool handles in to give them a rubber grip. They now make it in
a spray can and it is available in black. Make sure you sand the loose powdery suface residue off
then wipe it down with paint thinner before spraying it on. This will make it stick better.
