Stan has you covered on the engine, replacement from '52. The serial number plate originally had the serial number on the same line with the "FAB" part. The "154" below it is the left part of "1540 RPM" engine speed. The "12 5 P" dates the transmission case to Dec 5, 46. The 3.24.47 and 5.9.47 date the final drives to March 24, 47 and May 9, 47 respectively. IH castings rarely had the date open coded like that, but it shows up once in a while. I'm afraid you can't determine the actual serial number from what you have, but the tractor evidently dates to 1947.
