Age of a Farmall B

I just purchased a Farmall B today. I have lived in a green world and don't have any reference books for Farmalls. The tractor has only part of the data plate in tact. All I have is FAB and under that 154, then the rest of the plate has been torn off. The engine block number is 354898R1 and has a casting date of 5.12.X. The transmission casting date is 12.5.P, and the final drives have casting dates of 3.24.47 for the LH and 5.9.47 for the right. From serial number registries SN154 is not possible, SN1,54_ would be a 1939, SN15,4_ _ would be a 1940 and SN154,_ _ _ would be a 1946. The casting dates have me baffled. Would appreciate any help from a RED blooded American. Thanks
