I recently visited a friend who parts out and rebuilds a lot of Ms and he had one in his shop
that the trans housing was open coded 1947.
He said that he has seen several from '47 and '48
like that. I agree that yours is a 1947 model, but the engine has been replaced by one made in '52-either a super A or super C.
