The P on the transmission case would be right for a '46. I have never seen a casting with a numeric year as you report for the final drives. The engine appears to have been replaced from a '52 Super C. That block has the larger sleeves for 3 1/8" pistons as opposed to 3", and if you look just below the distributor you should see a cutout for a hydraulic pump which the original A and B motors don't have. Sounds like the same setup I have. I just put a Super C block on my '46 B to add hydraulics to it.
