Cub vs. A

My son and I are Just starting out. We have 2.5 acres to landscape, mow, grade, plow, till, cut brush and just plain have fun with. I've been looking at Cubs but was told a Cub would be too underpowered. An "A" or even "Super A" would be more suitable for all the standard equiptment I want to use. Was also told that a 60" belly mower would bog a Cub down. Anyone, any opinions?
