First of all , I spent $4.50 and got 4 3/8-16 two foot long threaded rods with washers and nuts. It took awhile to lower it but saved my back. I had at the bottom 4 4x4's. two abreast and two on top. When I lowered the liftall on the them, I removed the threaded rods and rotated it down. Removed the pump and then picked up the two pieces to clean. This coupler is being stubborn. Any of you have any shortcuts on getting that coupler off so I can replace the seal? I had the same problem on the 46 farm H back in 1990. If I recall correctly, I stuck a pipe wrench on it and hammered until it broke loose. Then I had to grind all the marks off the coupler face diameter on the grinder.
