as the "Red Sed" -- and at about 450 rpm warm. And, since you can't get the high test gasoline of yesteryear, you may want to try about another 1-2 degrees BTDC - or about "half-again" the distance between the two marks "added to the advance." (standing on the carb side of the tractor, it would be below the first mark on the crankshaft pulley, by half-again the distance between the two marks, since the pulley is rotating "top over to you.") This will also add to the advance at high rpm, which is ok, because of the slightly slower detonation of todays lower octane fuel. Don't move it far enough to slow the engine more than a tiny bit. This may improve starting. You can experiment.
