The offset type cub you are talking about was made until '65, that was the transition year that you can find both versions. I have a '64 that was left to me by my father after his death 8 years ago, I grew up using this tractor to mow, plow snow, plow a garden, grade driveways, and do some pretty aggresive landscaping for the size of the tractor.
In my opinion for a person that is looking for a versitle tractor this is what they need.
