Wardner, another bit of information, not all MD and WD9 had the same bolt pattern where pump would bolt up. Even though they turn same direction not all pumps will work even between same size tractors. M&W didn't make one pump to fit all for the diesel and W9 series like they did on M. Most later MD, WD 6 and 600 used the same pump though,also 9 tractors if the magneto or distributor drive has a part # 261206 R1.
