Most of the time the seal is replaced when the hub is disassembled. If the bearing race is driven out with a brass drift from the opposite side, the seal often pops out any way often not dammaged. Getting it out cleanly may require a slide hammer with a home made spoon that can go behind the seal to gently work it out. They are pretty inexpensive, so why not replace it. JimN
