MY 300U ALSO BARELY COMES OUT OF THE COLD ZONE ON THE GUAGE. A NEW REPLACEMENT THERMOSTAT HELPED A LITTLE A FEW YEARS AGO WHEN I RECORED THE RADIATOR,BUT, AFTER ALL,IT WAS 45 YEARS OLD.I KEEP THE GRILL COMPLETELY COVERED ALL WINTER.IN THE SUMMER,THE GUAGE WILL GO TO RUN ZONE ONLY WHEN WORKING VERY HARD IN HOT WEATHER.
