First find a 5/8 wrench and remove the only plug on the MCV valve located on the left hand side of unit, the plug is towards the rear of tractor. There is only one that is 5/8,this opens the steering orfice, crank over tractor with plug removed, this is messy and will shoot oil out of unit after a short time.when you have a steady stream replace plug and you will have steering. If you use this unit in cold weather go to your Case dealer and purchase a hyd. suction sreen for a 7100 series magnum tractor. Grind off rubber gasket to the same size of your hyd filter that you have removed.Install the suction screen instead of filter and this will help you in winter time operation. We have done this for customers that have slow or no hyds. in cold weather, this works on 06,26,56,66,86,88 series tractors as well.
