Partial Paint Job?

Well guys. I'm thinking of asking my friend to help me do some painting. He has the shop to do it, but here's the thing.

His space is not big enough, and he cant do it outside, because of the close proximity to his neighbors. So I'm thinking of asking him to just help me prep and paint the loader , sheetmetal, and fenders. The rest of the trqctor isnt in terrible shape. Is there any other thin metal parts that I should think about painting that can be removed from the tractor? Maybe the foot pedestals, and clutch/brake pedals.

Not sure if he has anything in the shop at the moment, but its heated so temp and rain isnt a concern, and I'm expected to be laid off for a few more months, so I got the time, and he doesnt work. He's a pretty good guy and since I'd be supplying the paint, the prep materials and like half of the prep work, I think he'd help me for free, he's usually good about that. We help each other out, but seems he owes me more then I owe him.

Here's another thing, the muffler is through the hood, This is not stock, but almost has to be left the way it is for garage clearance and to reduce stress on the weleded cast manifold.

I also might think about having him paint the wheels. My right rear one is a concern since its fairly rusty. Are the tires hard to remove from the rims, is this something a shop would half to do? There is fluid in the rears, but thats no biggy.

My goal here it to extend the life of the parts that rust can readily damage, cast parts take ALOT longer to get harmed by rust then thin sheetmetal and rims. Also, do you think the result would look better then it normally does, or would the sharp contrast look horrible?
