That's why the right wheel is heavier than the left -- I have a Super A, and although Kansas is "flat", I can't see any problem. My dad used all sorts of row spacings, all our Farmalls had single fronts. But, most of our settings were 80 inches, the maximum spacing for the H. That means you can straddle two 40 inch rows and run the front between the rows. The C will do the same thing. Of course, if the plants are large, and borderline in size for cultivation, the front is one more wheel to hit something with, but a single front should not cause problems. We had squash, also a few tomatoes (they tended to mature too late and freeze in south Texas), but most of our wide spaced crops were bell peppers, eggplant, and cantalope. If you plant two rows on, say, a 40 inch bed, then you do need a wide front. The problem with either the A or B is the difficulty in changing row spacing, the H and C, etc are much easier to move the wheels.
