Unless you want to buy different rims, the IH rims were 1 inch less than the tread width of the tire, although there is some overlap. If the tires you have are true 13 inch tread width, the cross section is 14.9 inches, they need at least 12 inch wide rims, which are indeed overkill for an A. If they are 13.6's with a 12 inch tread width you need 11 inch rims; 12.4's/11 inch tread width, 10 inch; 11.2's/10 inch tread width, 9 inch; 9.5's/9 inch tread width, 8 inch; etc. My guess is someone put vastly oversize tires on small rims to make it look "powerful" -- that does not work.
