The starter button is listed as a 'switch assembly', part No. 376295R91. I just took one off my 1974 140 and replaced it with solenoid powerd by a new 4 position key ignitiion switch. The start position is spring loaded. The original starter button I took off has one 1/4"-20 threaded bolt, and one 5/16"-24 threaded bolt. I think all that matters is the distance between, and orientation of the 2 attaching bolts. The 140's are top and bottom and probably standard. The solenoid bolted right in.
