51 Cub engine gaskets

Hi all,
I'm now in the middle of putting my 51 cub engine back together and had a question about weither or not I should or where I should use gasket sealer when installing the engine gasket set. I know not on the head gasket - head is already installed and torqued to specs, but other gaskets like for the oil pump, etc. Years ago on a car I used the tacky stuff for the oil pan, but wondered about some of these other gaskets. Any comments? Thanks in advance! You all have been a great help on my other questions - Kurt
