CSR: You can interchange distributor with a mag all the way to 1958 engines. There is section in my 130 operator's manual for care and adjustment of a mag. I've never seen a mag on a 130, but it must have been an available option. You've lost me on those coolant ports, either you didn't describe it in enough detail or my head is not functioning yet this morning. Any C-113 or C-123 blocks I've run across, could be changed from thermosyphon to water pump, or vice versa. If you see something that prevents this, kindly come back, I'm always keen to learn.
