Hope you guys don't get upset with me...askin' a truck question on your tractor forum. Here goes... I bought a '74 International 1600 loadstar dump truck. It started missing before I got it home and died. I put 5 gal.gas in it and it started right up, went about 3 miles and it started missing and died again. I poured some gas in the carb. and still wouldn't hit,so l decided it needed tuned up. Now, how do I find what motor is in it? I Know it is a v8 and probibly a 345 or 396, the one I had back 30 years ago had a 345, and it looks the same...I think! Is there anyone out there that can tell me where to look to find the size? By the way, I do have a Farmall C and two H's, one with wide front end and a 3 pt hitch so I read this forum alot and Thank You!
