Farmall Cub - Should I get one?

Having been raised on Ford tractors, I don't know much about the Farmalls. But I have always thought it would be fun to have a Cub. A friend has offered to give me one. Looks like it is probably an early sixties model. Looks good but doesn't run. Carb is missing. I suspect that head, head gasket, or block has been damaged by a guy who ran it without coolant.

Is it pretty easy to get parts and manuals for the Cubs? Do you think I should take it and try to get it running? Thanks for your feedback.
