Golly! He wouldn't have to offer me twice. And it would have been at my home before I could post a message on this board, that's for sure. I can't find a Cub locally in any condition. Sounds like you have some work ahead of you, but you're starting at a good investment level. Knowing you have to start with a new engine may be a blessing.
Of course on a percentage basis, you'll have infinitely more in the restoration than what it cost you initially ; )
