Yep common problem with two different metals that don't play nice when oxidation is present. You think your T/A being stuck is bad. The same thing happened to the high/low range lever on our 656 Hydro. It stuck in high range for a while. I was raking with the engine idling and the speed ratio lever as little forward I could get it to go. I was still doing 7 mph!! Soaked it up with penetrating oil and after a week it loosened up enough to move.
