Look for the simple stuff first.

Does that light even come on when you first key it up? If not, maybe they just left the wire off the sender or the bulb needs replacing?

Second, does that tractor "sing" at you from under the seat when you first start it? The no hydraulics when first started is the classic "plugged filter/bypassing filter" symptom. Can't tell you how many times I've got a tractor back from the shop having major work done to it and they don't even bother to replace that filter.

I agree with the other guys. That clutch linkage/dump valve/transmission brake needs adjusting to free up your shifting.
