I think both of you guys are onto something, It's got to be the red oxide primer. On the screen its little flakes but if you roll it up between your fingers its sorta rubbery feeling like paint that has lifted. No doubt this is why he parked the thing in the first place. It had been parked a long time and lots of water in it. The last three times i pulled the filter, I didn't drain the fluid. I just cleaned the filter and bypass screen. Its not getting any cleaner but its taking longer to plug up. Thanks
