Anyone know, fitting for Super C temp. gauge?

While tearing apart the engine on my Super C I mangled the fitting in the thermostat housing that the temperature gauge sensor screws into. Does anyone know if this is a standard plumbing fitting? If so what is it and any good ideas on where I can get one? My old one is pretty well toast and as I had to weld a piece of bar on it to get it out I doubt I can measure it well.
