I have been workling awful hard to rebuild this H engine. So far, I am real happy with where I am. It is now on the engine stand with new pistons, sleeves, rings, mains, rod and cam bearings, except for the flywheel, the rear end is built up, Oil Filer canister installed, lifters in, head rebuilt and ready to install and side covers are on and now I am down to the front end. I want to make absolutely sure as to the timing of the gears there. There are 5 gears: 1. the Distributor drive gear 2. The cam gear 3. The gear on the crank 4. An idler gear 5. Govenor drive gear. As I understand it, I need not be worried with timing on 4 and 5 above cause it is not necessary but that I must get 1,2 and 3 done correctly. Will one of you who is an expert on the timing, walk through this with me one more time? TW
