Most likely a cracked head. When I disassembled my H motor I took the head in for rebuild . After magna flux we found 4-5 small cracks. I went on a search for a head. I "bought" 4 different heads, had them fluxed and they all had cracks, some small, some larger. Then I started getting advice from older trator owners, they said " don't worry about those little cracks, all the heads have them". But I don't do things that way, so I took the very best head, had it spray welded, reconditioned by the top place in the US , in IA, and got basically a better than brand new head, That's the good news, it only cost 400 for the work! But on the upside I am now good to go for longer than the original! Gordo
